Guacamole, Salsa and Chips

5 minutes


1 avocado (it’s ripe when it’s dark green and mostly firm with a slight give)

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp garlic powder

Salsa (I use store-bought)

Tortilla chips or pita bread (for homemade chips)


If you’re making pita chips, preheat the broiler on low. Cut the pita into cracker-size pieces and bake on a cookie sheet for 3-5 minutes. They will become crunchy as they cool.


To make guacamole, mash the avocado (cut avocado in half, remove pit and scrape out the insides) in a small bowl. Mix in the lemon juice and garlic powder.


Serve it all together and watch it disappear.
